William T. (Ted) Dom

CAMERON MANAGEMENT ROLE

William T. (Ted) Dom, Chief Operating Officer, has been Dougal Cameron’s partner since September 2000. While Ted shares responsibility with Dougal for acquisitions, developing, and maintaining capital resources, he also directs the management of the Cameron Portfolio.

 

CAMERON HIGHLIGHTS

  • Negotiated acquisition terms, documents, and financing of One Park Ten in San Antonio (155,000 SF) in 2002.
  • Worked with Dougal Cameron on the purchase agreement for The Esperson Buildings (600,000 SF) in 2004 and term sheet with Amstar Group who was equity investor. Led underwriting and negotiation of acquisition documents.
  • Negotiated management contract and purchase option with the ownership of the 7660 Woodway Building in 2004 and led its sale in 2006 (109,000 SF).
  • Worked with Dougal Cameron on the purchase agreement for 1001 McKinney (372,000 SF) in 2007 and term sheet with Lehman Brothers’ fund who is equity investor. Led underwriting and negotiation of debt financing and acquisition documents.
  • In 2011, led sale of San Antonio properties – One Park Ten (155,837 SF) and Energy Plaza I & II (179,775 SF) – and Houston property at 3000 Richmond (96,789 SF).
  • Asset manager of 1001 McKinney Building and lead contact for equity partner and lender reporting and communications 2007 to 2012.
  • Worked with Dougal Cameron for the repurchase of The Esperson Buildings (600,000 SF) in 2012 and negotiation of joint venture agreement with equity partner.
  • Asset manager of Esperson since 2012. Oversaw major renovations. Negotiated contract for purchase of chilled water from Enwave’s chilled water loop. Manage the on-site property management and engineering staffs.

 

CAREER BACKGROUND

Before joining Cameron Management, Ted Dom was an asset manager for Gerald D. Hines for seven years, which included working with Dougal on Houston’s Central Business District projects. Ted was a member of the Hines team, who was responsible for closing the sale of JP Morgan Chase Tower and 1100 Louisiana, totaling 2.9 million square feet. After Hines, Ted relocated to Pittsburgh, PA, where he completed assignments as an independent tenant representative broker and consultant to a Pittsburgh financial institution. He returned to Houston in 1991 where he worked as a partner in a renewable energy company before joining Dougal.
